Nisha Makan works in Liberia and has been a governance adviser with the Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative since 2014.
Between October and December 2014, she supported Dr Emmanuel Dolo, the president's adviser on Ebola, to lead the Presidents Advisory Committee on Ebola, holding all parties to account and taking high level national decisions. Since January, she has worked in the President's Delivery Unit (PDU) supporting the President's Deputy Chief of Staff to oversee the implementation of Liberia's top infrastructure projects. These should bring roads and cheaper electricity to Liberia. More recently, she has begun supporting the Government to improve their education system.
Before joining AGI, Nisha worked in the UK Cabinet Office on decentralization - supporting and empowering cities to develop and deliver local economic growth strategies.
